BORDERS IN POLAND Polish Independence Day
is celebrated on November 11 as on that day in 1918, Poland regained independence
after 123 years of being divided between Prussia, Russia and Austro-Hungary. But even though it was
so long ago, you can still see the impact of the imperial borders on the maps
(and therefore, the society) of Poland. Joining us will be Szymon Pifczyk of the
popular Polish map blog Kartografia ekstremalna
who will show us how the legacy of the partitioners still impacts Poland today. Sunday, October 22, 2023:
